The Challenge
THE CHALLENGE WAS TO SELL SOMETHING THAT HAS NO REAL DEMAND — A SIMPLE, EVERYDAY COASTER.
NOT ONLY THAT, THE PRODUCT ITSELF IS PRESENTED AS ALMOST IMAGINARY, WITH NO REAL NEED OR URGENCY BEHIND IT.
THE GOAL WAS TO MAKE PEOPLE WANT IT ANYWAY.
TO CREATE DESIRE WHERE THERE IS NONE, AND TO SHOW THAT WITH THE RIGHT PRESENTATION, EVEN THE MOST ORDINARY IDEA CAN FEEL VALUABLE.
